Two brothers, Karbalayi Muhammad ʻAli and ʻAli Akbar, complain to the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, against Fath al-Dawlah, who left his wife, the sister of these two brothers, and his child 15 months ago. In this period, his child died and these two brothers, who have their own families to feed, must now provide for their sister too; the office [of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs] in Hamadan writes to this Ministry that Fath al-Dawlah, who works for the British and had been in Hamadan for business, had married, but left his wife after the business was completed. Marriage contract of Fakhr al-Sadat Khanum and Mashhadi ‘Abd Allah, 1914
Marriage contract between Fakhr al-Sadat Khanum, daughter of Sayyid ‘Abd Allah, and Mashhadi ‘Abd Allah, son of Karbalayi ‘Abd al-Rahman from Shiraz but residing in Tehran; the mahr is a copy of a Qurʼan and one hundred ten tumans, of which the bride received thirty tumans and the remaining eighty tumans remain the groom’s debt. The witnesses are Haj ‘Abbasquli Sahm al-Mulk Bayat from Arak and Nusrat Allah.

‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk to Surur al-Saltanah
‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash)'s letter to Surur al-Saltanah, writing about the relationships of men and women in Europe, that Iranian men dismiss their own wives and look for love and pleasure outside of their marriage while it is different in Europe, as men and women love each other and they prefer to spend their time with each other rather than with others. However, this is not Iranians' fault either, as they sometime are married when they are five or six, without their personal choice. He then thanks God that Surur is a perfect mate and says that he truly loves her....

Documents regarding Liqaʼ Khanum
Mirza Abu al-Hasan, a citizen of the Ottoman Empire, whose children are in Kurdistan, died in Mecca. After his death, his wife, Liqaʼ Khanum married Shaykh Ibrahim, as a result of which, she lost custody of her children. Haji Muhammad, who is the executor of Abu al-Hasan's will, complains against Liqaʼ Khanum because she does not acknowledge the change of custodianship and has taken possession of properties that were in the hands of other guardians.
